New York Fashion Week Spring 2014 Trends.

New York Fashion Week kicked off fashion month in the big apple as the hottest designers from around the world showcased their latest and greatest collections for spring 2014. The spring 2014 offering were quite impressive this time round and so were the colors. This is what New York has to offer in the way of trends come next spring.

Pleats - A trend first spotted in Resort 2014 collections, pleats made their debut on the spring 2014 runways.

Floral Monochromatic. Two classic trends – florals and monochrome were combined for a more updated look.

Raw Edges -  Designers played up hemlines with undefined vertical lines as most skirts had excessive fabric veering off one side or the other.

Ruffles –  The spring 2014 collections featured a lot ruffled dresses and tops flipped there way onto spring 2014 runways.

Jumpsuits – You get to keep the jumpsuit for spring 2014.

Slouchy Pants – Low slung at the waist and wide at the legs, wide legged pants were quite plenty in spring 2014 collections.

Tiers – Spring 2014’s layered looks came in form of graduated tiers on dresses and skirts.
